Volunteering for Stony Hill Fire & EMS is described as exhilarating and rewarding. Many members have built their careers from joining.
SHFD accepts junior members starting at the age of 16. You will gain first hand knowledge from experienced members how to be a firefighter or EMT. Once you turn 18, you will have a strong knowledge base for when you start your certification courses.
We are a growing EMS organization, running over 1,000 EMS calls per year. In our first due district are 2 nursing homes, an interstate, commercial, industrial and residential areas. We offer great opportunities to high school and college students looking to gain experience in the medical field.
All training is paid for by the department and NO experience is necessary.
